Am I right in saying that the Matrox Mini doesn’t allow accelerated effects when used on a Mac – even with the Max version? I remember how things used to work so well with the RT.X2 on the PC, and have been trying to replicate the experience on the Mac…

Thanks. Can’t even see the shortcuts for the list view, which I know work. There must be a way of navigating in icon view with the keyboard…

Ah ha – good one. But has anyone found away to select a clip in the timeline (without using the mouse) and trim the out point, and the in point of the next. In FCP you would use the V key to select the nearest edit point folioed by to select the out point or UU to select the in point (of the next point). All very handy for mouse free trimming…

I’m on a Mac Pro – so one graphics card supports three monitors.

How strange. I only get the option on ‘none’ or ‘DV’. Yet, in Encore I can see all 3 monitors….

Thanks Vince. All 3 displays are visible to the Mac and the ‘mirror’ option is unchecked. Which sequence settings should I use please?

Although if you select ‘storage’ as opposed to ‘AVI’ all the Matrox codecas (and others) are accessible…
If I select Quicktime, I can encode to anything, including the Avid codecs I have on my system…
I just can’t find a way of recoding an AVI to anything but Canopus or MS. But there must be a way. The P3 marekting material states quite clearly that you can re-purpose to any VFW codec.
Perhaps Canopus could chime in here with some definitive advice.
