Hi, how about just using your RGB outputs off of your DVD player.
I have had this issue before and these along with the required
audio cables as well should allow you to copy these.

I am trying to find out what codecs say Vegas or Premiere can
capture using the Intensity card. I have the Edius NX platform
and have the hardware. It does not support HDMI or component in
( at least my version). The capture codec Black Magic uses is
totally incompatible with Edius software. I have had an intensity card and tried to import Black Magic compressed and uncompressed
into Edius, does not work, different compression scheme and frame rate that Edius will handle. Guy graphics and others have talked
about others using say Premiere to capture with the Intensity card in a standard industry codec , then later use this in Edius…
This works… The question I have was not your opinion of Edius
or it’s value , but what codecs , IE DV, SD, HD say Premiere
or Vegas capture with using this card… Please read the original
    post again…

As I have stated I have already owned the Intensity card and well aware
of the software Black Magic has. Great software but the capture is in a format I can not use with my Edius NX. Frame rate off. I need another software solution to capture formats. Adobe Premiere captures with Intensity in more forms than the two Black Magic offers but don’t want
to pay $$$ just to capture. Looking for a cheaper software that works with
    Intensity…

Edius only works with more normal forms of capture modes. Even though I can place the Black Magic compressed and non compressed on the timeline they are different than the standard forms than say Premiere or Vegas and cause a poor picture due to being non standard ( at least for the Edius system , possible frame rate as I have heard). What I am doing is typical for many Edius users with Intensity ( using another software package to capture ) then using the result in Edius ( say a standard DV compression for example). Looking for a less expensive software aside from Vegas or Premiere just to capture in these useable forms ( codecs) that are standard ( IE Grass Valley uses
    most all broadcast standards)…

This is just in the black magic utilty with the compressed mode. As for sync the audio trails . I was rather suprised as it never happened before . We are talking not a few frames either but more like a few seconds. My machine is cleam of anything that could cause this as well ( bare bones as far as any applications). Will try an attempt later and update. As I have seen many of these applications ( IE capture utilities have co dependence with other AVI based programs).

All that needs to be done is to adjust your input volume. This is
done in the volume control section on your tool bar ( speaker icon),
just adjust your WAVE volume as this is the source volume for your card.

    Cheers
