First thanks for putting this in the appropriate forum.
If you look in the config guide the recommended card is the decklink extreme 3d. This is the flagship card. It’s got analogue, sdi & hdmi I/o. Supports 444, 2k & 3d. It’s very robust and works really well with resolve.
I’d recommend the extreme 3d..
Soon they will ship the decklink 4k, the advantage of this is that it will support 4k res. but has very limited I/o options.
It will cost 600.The decklink studio is 300. But only supports 4:2:2 hd and no 3d.
My strong recommendation is to stay within the resolve config guide parameters and use the extreme 3d card. However all of the decklink cards should work.

Also there could be an issue with using 2d track data in 3d space here. You may be able to use an expression to transform the position. But I think a mocha corner pin track is your best choice.

That’s a largely uniform surface with very little tracking detail. It will be difficult to track. I would look into mochaAE which is bundled with after effects and may give you better results.
In the future on these sorts of shots, you’ll want to place some tracking markers in the frame. At least 4 but preferably more. You’ll then need to replace the markers, but that is easier than trying to track a blank wall.

Primarily for clients, though I wouldn’t be disinclined to recommend it as a grade monitor for someone considering it’s overall cost effectiveness and size. As to the red intensity, can’t claim it’s stood out to me, and probe shows proper red. Could be your particular display, could be your signal path. But a part of it is also just a difference of display technologies having different display characteristics. You couldn’t use a lut box to tweak the reds to your desired point?

Don’t think it’s an issue with the quality of the lut processing but rather the hdmi connection to the monitor.

Use a trimmed clip from the original footage if possible. And try tracking in mocha instead. As you’ve discovered tracking is sometimes more art than science. And experience with a variety of techniques helps. Some shots require a combination of techniques, some shots are just impossible to track and are best done by hand,
Why don’t you post a clip of the shot in question and we might be able to offer more practicle advice.

Sure. Rip the disc, demux the m2ts’s and string them out as desired in encore or bd software of choice. There maybe some more automated way of doing this. But I’m not aware of it.

The other factor is that side-by-side reduces horizontal resolution by half. I believe for production discreet images is the only choice. Particularly for polarized display.

Well the dual link hd-sdi card is pretty much a must have. For calibration, you can adjust the 10 point system by hand through the remote, but some software will also let you connect to it through Ethernet and do manual adjustments over a software interface or manually. Obviously you’d need a probe and software.
More detailed profiling and LUTs would require a DAVIO box. I do not recommend using an HDLink to send picture. For whatever reason it just doesn’t look anywhere near as good.
