It does change the gamma. Believe it assumes 2.2. But haven’t tested to be sure. Generally mastering to either 709 or P3 from my end.

In the LUTs built in to resolve, under cinespace there is a 709 to XYZ lut that does exactly this.

Conversations at NAB made me realize there is already a way to get this sort of “support” within the resolve ecosystem. And that is to use a VAR to purchase and configure your system. Many var consider supporting installations a critical part of their service. They configure your box and then stand behind it. Others are willing to provide additional support options, some are flat rate other bill per incident or per hour. But almost all VARs go the extra mile to support their box.
Just a thought I had which may help those looking for a more supported solution.

Even for the web, you need an external monitor if you want to see an accurate image.

Are you looking at the image on a broadcast monitor?

I am on 10.8.3. No compelling reason to upgrade, no issues that I can directly attribute to the OS. 10.8.3 does have updated gpu drivers though, so beware of that.
As someone who dislikes not having the boot screen (which is why I use a GT120) this strikes me as a big deal. So I’m pretty excited to have this option. I’d say this would be my go to recommendation for someone looking to upgrade their only gpu. But of course we should wait and see what the product is first.

I think the “online editing” term in this case suggests something less than a full fledged editorial system like avid or FCP, for example I’m going to guess no multicam, less robust trim tools, etc.
I think the intention here is to solve the roundtrip problem by taking the return flight out of the equation.

You are running out of GPU RAM, this is causing black frames. Make sure you quit all other apps, and do a fresh boot before you start Resolve.
Which exact MacBook Pro model do you have?
