Somehow when I import the xml and I leave the “automatically import source clips into the media pool” checkbox on and the “ignore file extension when matching” checkbox also on Resolve replaces the proxy files associated with the imported XMl for the DNGs which is what I want to happen. As you said it’s more or less 95% ok, there are some minor errors.

However I don’t know wether Resolve is taking those DNGs from the media pool or it is importing them from a disk.

Which is what I expect to happen but not what I want. What I don’t know is what “ignore file extension when matching” does exactly. Anyways, so far it seems to work.

I guess I will get the logic behind this as I work more.

Hi again!

I have some news.

I’m using two external hard disks for this project. In a 6TB WD RAID 0 connected via Firewire 800 where I have all the footage. I’m using a 2TB Seagate as Scratch Disk. I’ve been doing several tests and I found out that when I disconnect the 2TB HD I can open the sequence perfectly. I think it’s because some preview files located in the 2TB HD were creating some issues. I also tried to open the project with the CS6 and it works perfectly connected with the 2TB HD as scratch disk. Now I´m working again with the CS5. I deleted the preview files from the 2TB HD and it works. I will try to render some previews and see what happens. Does this make any sense? Or it may be that the HD is not working correctly?

I’ve been a final cut user for several years and I changed to PP, among other things, because you were supposed to work fine with native files. Can I ask you what would be your workflow for this particular project in which you have to edit one hour long documentary movie using mainly files from the 5D?

Actually I was working with some weird shitty audio files recorded with a mobile phone. The extension is 3gp and the frequency 8000Hz! That may have been the problem. However they have been in the timeline for one week and it was working fine until a couple of days ago when it started doing some strange things, like taking a few seconds to do simple things like trimming.

Regarding the video files I´m mostly working with the native files recorded with the 5D. But there some other video files in the timeline with different formats, codecs, frame rates… Could that be an issue with the CS5?

I opened the oldest autosaved version but I have the same problem. I can open the project but not the sequence in that project. Any solution?

If I open the project with the CS6 you think that could fix the problem? I have to recover this sequence!
