Yep….then I get to the Layer menu by clicking the the little triangle in the upper right hand cornor of the layer window. The track option is there…i just can’t click on it.

the 5.5 help says:

“To track a moving region or object:

1. Select the motion footage layer you want to track and open it in a Layer window. You must have at least two layers in the Composition window.

Note: The Tracker/Stabilizer can track either an original motion footage layer or a precomposed layer that includes additional effects or other properties in the composition.
2. In the Layer window menu, choose Tracker/Stabilizer Controls.”

the problem is when i go to choose the Tracker/Stabilizer Controls from the meneu…it’s greyed out and won’t let me select it.
I just don’t know what i’m missing.
