  • i did exactly all you mentioned
it’s just there is no sony stuff with my ‘videocontrollers’
    in the dvice manager subunit
no idea where to find it elsewhere
    reinstalled xp with sp2
    it’s just not there
so it ‘s not working with vegas 6.0c or adobe premiere pro 2
i’ll have another dvcam and different firewire cables to try tomorrow
    thanks again for your kindness

  • thanks for replying
but i’m getting a little desperate
    your description really sounds ok
and that’s exactly what i’ ve been doing all the time
only … no sony controller (or whatever this is called) to be found
so that’s what i’m looking for
i understood that my pc just doesn’t recognize the camera because the controller (?) or driver (?)
    isn’t there on my system
so i still wonder how you guys got it ?
    thanks a lot anyway
    cheers

  • i just can’t find any driver (Sony D-VHS Device) on my system at all, neither on the net so far
searched all over the deice manager, installing new hardware, etc
xp sp2 installed and again …
where do you guys get this stuff
so my pc doesn’t recognize the camera (fx1)
funny enough, on an old mac powerbook 12 inch with cut pro eveything worked like a charm
as well as in I movie
    who’s got the solution ???
