    Micheal,

THANK YOU. I’ve lost a couple hours figuring why my “Toggle” windows shortcuts didn’t work anymore in CC 2017. Just like you, they seem to have “disappeared” since I updated CC (oh… Adobe…) !

To set-them back to normal, like you say, you need to close all the panels/windows before you can re-assign the “Window” select (and typical SHIFT+1 for project, SHIFT+2 for Source, SHIFT+3 for Timeline, etc.)

    Best regards,

    Joshua

  • Josh: this is a fantastic tip, can’t believe I’m only learning this one now 🙂

    To make it clearer :
    1. drag your VIDEO CLIP(s) up one (or more) tracks (ex. V1 to V3)
    2. Don’t let go of your left mouse button (don’t let go of anything basically)
    3. Press + hold shift , and move your mouse down towards the audio tracks (which will “push” them down, exactly the way you’d want them to go in the first place)

    Thanks again,

Josh (yep another one, from Switzerland)

  • Thanks alot Jonathan !

The private folder trick did it for me. I was able to search once in there, and find my PSD hidden smart object !

    Cheers !

Had same issue here, tried trashing prefs and creating a new projet. Nothing did it. Finally figure a way out : re-encode the original media. Luckily for me it was a quick news cut with only 3 files about 15min each. I simply encoded them in the same format through MPEG streamclip (prores) and then no more KGCore error !

    hope this helps!

  • I ran into the same problem when copying the files to my hard drive by using “Image Capture” for Mac…

FCP wouldn’t import giving the error message that the folder structure wasn’t correct. The ‘fastest’ way to fix this was simply to convert the files to whatever format you’ll need them to be in FCP using compressor, and then drag them into your project.

I personally used ProRes 422 and it worked like a charm… I heard ProRes 422 (LT) is good enough, but haven’t tried it yet.
