    Hello John,

You seem to know an awful lot about this software so I thought I would come to you….

Right now i have Sony Vegas 9c.
To create a new video what I do is browse to a file i named template.vf
create a folder and this is now where my video will be located.
(the template.vf is because i see no way of creating templates for videos in this software).
Now every item I record gets sent to my user/documents folder.

I have browsed the web and through every setting i can find and I see no option remotely close to allowing me to change a default save directory.

With the previous version i did the same thing and vegas saved the files in a sub-directory called ‘Recordings’ located within the folder I created.

The last video I created went something like this:
    1. Record 2 tracks of audio…
    2. Browse to documents
    3. move tracks to the folder created for the video
    4. error message from vegas not knowing where there media files are
    5. tell vegas where the files are
    6. record a couple more tracks
    7. repeat steps 2-5

I am not sure why this version is reacting the way it is… but I am only here because my irritation level has hit a peak resulting in me doing research into different software’s with the same capability as vegas.

ANY help would be much appreciated, Thank you VERY much!!
