I think you will find that Adobe Bridge is the tool you need for this chore, but you should read the following to check whether the downsides outweigh the benefits:

Those specs have to come from the station. See if you can find out from the client what the call letters are, then check on their website (they usually post a PDF with specs) or call their Production Manager. You could waste a lot of time creating the wrong format otherwise.

I usually use the one-by-one process, but it’s very quick. I select the piece of the sound clip I want, then do Save Selection As. It takes only a matter of seconds to export each piece. Here’s a rundown on the process:

Actually – it looks to me as if it’s done either with VideoCopilot’s Optical Flares, or Knoll Lens Flare – either will do it.
