You’re sure you didn’t just change the display preview settings? That is allowed, and you can add 2:3 pulldown, etc., if you’re working with 23.98 for broadcast.

Version 9 will support alpha but only for compositing preview, the way we use travelling mattes now for secondaries, but I don’t believe alpha is passed through in the rendering process for original source clips.

Perhaps a cousin to this thread —
is there a trick to getting Symphony to recognize an external RS422 edit deck (SRW-5500 or DVW-A500) through a Blackmagic Decklink (Extreme3d)? I’ve walked thorough the deck config, and although Symphony recognizes the Decklink, it doesn’t seem to know there’s an HDcam deck out there… Yes its plugged in.

You’re not having much luck with this are you. My guess would be that this parade of interfaces (the question that springs to mind is “why?”) is a lot of hand shaking and pin-to-pin assumptions that are unlikely to work. Especially with a graphics display like the Apple LED… seems very unsuitable for value judgement.

When I look at the Gefen description, I see a convoluted phrase — Connect the DisplayPort connector to the computer source. Connect the Mini-DisplayPort cable from the display to the Mini DisplayPort connector on the adapter cable.

Seems to suggest there is another cable required from the monitor side?

There has been some recent discussion of the BT300, and the suggestion is that it can be deployed on a short leash calibrated with Lightspace DAVIO.
