  • Edward: You are correct. So I took the old card out and purchased an AMD FirePro V59000 (FireGL V) installed it and thought that I was home free. Then, the same thing happened. Sooo I sent that back and was give a NVIDIA GeForce GTX670 which I installed. I reset Pro 12 and was able to get the card to work with NewBlue for a bit. The only way it would work at all is if I did not load Light blends which also came with my package. I then had some problems as I wanted the piece to run 20.09 seconds. It would play that long but not before constantly hanging up at 8 sec. which was the original length of my title. I also found I could not drag the length of the paragraph to the end even though it would play through after the hang-up. Yes I did extend the time on my time line and in the plug in program. Upon investigation I discovered that I was not running the 64-bit version. Soooo I uninstalled the plugin and re-installed it in it’s 64-bit form. All seemed well and I got it up and did some testing. Wow-all was fine. I saved it and shut Sony down, gave it a couple of minutes and re-opened it. Pro 12 opened fine but then I tried to do more editing in NewBlue and as soon as I hit the Sony green icon to get back into NewBlue, poof, Sony crashed. I tried several times with no luck. The New Blue Video Essentials for Windows works like a charm. All of my Sony plugins also work great but for some reason I am still having trouble with Titler Pro 2. I am here over the weekend and all day Monday so if you have the time I am willing to do whatever you think I need to do to resolve the situation. I love how easy Titler Pro 2 is to work with and want, if possible, to use it in my productions. I’m committed to the Sony program, and since NewBlue and Sony are partners in crime it would seem there must be a solution. Thanks again for getting back, and looking forward to working with you. J.

  • Thanks for getting back. I am on the road now so I would like to talk later today or tomorrow if you are in. I have tried two other cards since we talked. Do have some observations. Love your product when I can make it work. How long are you there today.

  • I have the same problem. When I first bring the plug-in up it works fine. If I shut it down and try to return to my project it opens OK but then if I try to edit it blows Sony up. Like you I use Video Essentials and those plugins work fine. I have been through 3 video cards and am now using a recommended NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670. My system works great except for this problem. Did you get any solution or are you still trying to figure this out?
