    As far as what to drag and drop. should I just drag the titled FCP icon off the desk top and keep that in the hard drive? or do I have to actually transfer all the data

    It’s a powermac g5. with final cut 5. it worked great in the past but I hadn’t used it for 2 years. then I opened it yesterday and I got the message with an exlamation saying – Final cut quit quit unexpectadly, this doesn’t affect you mac os, etc..”

    I go to retry and it still doesn’t work.
    Help!

    I’ll give that a shot later…thanks. Is preferance manager a software I buy? I don’t mind losing my preferences as long as the documents I have on the desk top and songs in itunes doesn’t get wiped out.

    And yes…the other programs do work, at least Sound Track Pro did when I opened it. I’ll let you know how it goes and thanks for your help

    where would I go to trash my preferences? How and what date would I back date quicktime to? Thanks for your help

    I was able to open sountrack pro just fine.
