Wow, great timing.. Is this a recent update? I can’t for the life of me figure out how I missed it. Maybe lost in the clouds….

    Thanks so much.

I’d try the same in a new comp and see if its something native to your original comp. Also, make sure your window is in active Camera. Also, see if its a scaling issue or a RAM issue by changing another attribute in the comp, and see if it previews. If its a RAM playback issue, then tackle the ram playback settings.

    good luck

Sorry to dredge up an old post, but I just lost a couple hours of productivity in AE 6 because it kept giving me the open GL error. It finally occurred to me that motion blur might be the culprit. unchecked, and I’m back in business. I can’t replicate this error, and I’m using illustrator and photoshop files only.
osx 10.7.5 8core 20 gigs of ram nvidia GTX 285 all drivers, AE Updates, and cuda updated.
I’d love to use motion blur on this scene, I’d rather not resort to RSMB.

has anyone found and solved this glitch?

    thanks

I think I just may have stumbled across the problem. Of course my non-scientific method of randomly pushing buttons until it works should be considered a large caveat here…. I did in fact get my guys out of lock step. The cloner has to be set properly, and in this instance, the clones option should be set to “blend”. Also wondering, if the time is offset, is rendering instances out of the question? Thanks so much, JB

try rendering without alpha, by default sky objects do no render with an alpha…
or, import the render turning alpha off so it doesn’t key out…
