    Hi there.
I’m trying to do a crowd simulation in R 11.5 and Mograph. I have a walk cycle using the motion system and have that under a null as a child of a cloner, Next I’ve added a random effector to generate random direction. Can one offset the cycle of the clones so they don’t remain in lock step? The time offset in the Random generator only produces a global effect. The Help menu implies that the time offset will work in this instance, but these guys seem to want to march together. Is there any way to break up this gang?
    Thanks

Hmm, the time offset should do what you’re after…. Not sure what the problem is.

I think I just may have stumbled across the problem. Of course my non-scientific method of randomly pushing buttons until it works should be considered a large caveat here…. I did in fact get my guys out of lock step. The cloner has to be set properly, and in this instance, the clones option should be set to “blend”. Also wondering, if the time is offset, is rendering instances out of the question? Thanks so much, JB
