  • Just found the title color options under FACE.

I was using Color Board – Master which is why I had the drop shadow issue
although I did discover title color change is achievable
without affecting the drop shadow in Color Board by only
    using the Highlights adjustment.

    All good now.
    Thanks

  • OK, I just figured it out.
When you’re selecting a color for title lettering on the Color Board
if you use Master, it also colors the drop shadow regardless of
the color you select in the Drop Shadow area.

The same it true of Shadows on the Color Board.
Midtones seems to have no effect on the drop shadow and doesn’t
    change the lettering color either.

If you use the Highlights to color the lettering, it changes the color
but leaves the drop shadow at the color selected in the Drop Shadow effect
    panel.

    Case Solved

  • Here you go. As you can see, a blue cast to the drop shadow from the light blue lettering.
Opacity is 100% so it’s not coming from anything behind the letters.

As usual, I figured it out after posting. Seem changing the playback setting to high quality as fixed the issue. IF there’s another way,
would love to hear that as well. Sometimes the audio gets messy in HQ cause my processor can’t handle all the info. Using a Mac Pro early 2008 so can’t
wait for the new Cylindric Mac Pro to come out.

Thanks. Seems the secondary storyline was somehow created when the dissolve was applied. They were not connected clips.
How can I apply dissolve between two clips without it becoming a connected clip and a secondary storyline?

Also, when I apply transition between clipd another is created at the other end of the clip. How can I avoid that.

  • Why, if I delete the clip and event does FCPX still remember the name I assigned to the event?
Can I somehow make FCPX “forget”? Is there a FCPX ruffie? Where is this remembrance stored.
Guess I’m off to the Genius Bar.
