Have you tried it? Seems to work. Tried in VP 17.

Check if “Mute All Video” happens to be accidentally selected. Probably Split Screen View
though (next to “fx” above Preview window).

The (almost only) difference is that VEGAS Pro 17 Edit does not come with VEGAS DVD Architect.

You may also need to expand the Track List area by dragging the splitter that comes up when you hover your mouse over the border against the timeline.

After that I see my post. At the bottom left side I see the options to

Note that in later versions (MSP 13 >) there is in Preferences/Display the option: “Allow floating windows to dock (hold Ctrl to override)”. You can leave the option unchecked.

Try temporarily moving or hiding the Taskbar to see if you can drag it up from the bottom.
