    your TV should appear as a second monitor in your mac osx preference panes.
    Once you see you desktop on the TV you’re okay to go

    then in Final Cut, at view/video playback menu choose Digital Cinema Desktop Preview and your TV will show up a black screen.. upon you hit play either on the timeline or viewer you should see your video on the tv.

    but remenber, it’s just a preview you will not see the whole resolution… it’s just to se the “big picture” while you’re editing, but it’s better than nothing.

    If you want to have real HD monitoring you have to install a intensity board, Decklink HD Studio or the other solution proposed in this thread..

    By the way, and this is the reason why I find this post… I want to do the same, but I have no PCIe computer (old G5) any solution similar to the Blackmagic’s Intensity but for PCI-X computers?

    taking the advantage of this post I would like to know if someone have experience with the HD link and the EIZO displays.

    In particular with the Coloredge CE240W..

    it’s a good choice?

    any personal experience it’s wellcomed!
