Hi,

I just came across this thread. It’s a few months old now. For someone doing regular After Effects work, would you say your hardware list is still valid?

My current system is using a GTX680 w/2GB, i7-3770 w/16 GB DDR3, and just bought some new Samsung Pro 850’s (which really sped things up). I was thinking about the possibility of using the GTX680 in the new build for now. Would a newer graphics card like the 980 make a huge difference to ram preview times? Will the new motherboard/CPU/DDR4 make a big difference if I’m already using the fast Samsung 850’s? Thanks for any help.
