Hey!
I had the same problem as you. Try to verify disk permissions of your system disk in your Disk Utility and repair them.
Since then FCP7 works great!

Hi Joe!
When you upgraded your HD Link Utility did you just upgraded it or did you re-install it?
Maybe try deleting your current utility and then install the newest one. Worked for me.

Yes I am using the same driver version on both platforms.
