I think you kinda answered your own question there, sounds like he won’t pay even if you did stop coming in. So the real question is would you want that project on your reel? If so and you have no other paying gigs set up, then I would get the experience. You also have every right to say that your internship is done and you’re going to work on personal projects, paid jobs, take a break, etc.

Businesses with poor managment practices like relying entirely on free labor although may make short term gains, in the long run will never make it with the big post houses. Learn and take what you can from a mediocre environment then move on.

I’ve used it and it’s great for exporting AE camera’s and object into Maya. However if you just need to export Maya camera data into AE you can already do that w/o any additional plugin’s or scripts.

Or if you have access to a 3D app, setup a rain particle system, create a 3D windshield that matches the angle of the filmed windshield, use it as a collision object and render out the rain.

You can always import an .obj into Invigorator, but unless it’s something simple you’re better off animating/rendering in Maya then exporting the camera data to comp it in AE.

If you don’t have a hardware solution for mpeg2, then for Mac I like “Bitvice” and on PC “Procoder”. I’ve never gotten good results w/ Cleaner, but supposedly w/ Compressor you can get nice mpeg2 footage as well.

not a powerMac, not a G5 ? Ooh they’re going to have fun coming up with a wow-name for that.

    how about the inMac ;-)”

i’ve been hearing people call them ‘mactel’ on boards recently

  • All three use really simple 3d, you’ll need invigorator if you wanna do it in AE. And once you get the hang of basic 3d principles you’ll see how easy it is to recreate… have fun.

Time remapping does an okay job at slowing stuff down but if you want a smoother slo-mo twixter is the better option.

Use Twixter if you have it or just time remap w/ frame blending on. Um i’m not sure what kind of 3d info you need but if it’s just position data applying a slow down to you C4D sequence won’t affect the roto’ed clips that you composite in. Without additional info not really sure where the problem is…
