Hi John,
The bundled Invigorator Classic version only comes with specific versions of After Effects. So far as I know, it does not come with either version of AE 7.

You might also try smartsound

And sound ideas “the big whoosh”

A little of this goes a long way, but it can sweeten your project, used correctly.

Aaron,
What’s the version number of Classic that you’re using? You may want to check the support>downloads section of the Zaxwerks site to get the current version.

Hi John,
If you’re using anything other than solid fill colors – like blends – it can create problems. If you want, send me the file at jokerstrom1 (at) mac.com and I’ll take a look.

Try Circle X and Pitch X.
That should do it.

Hi DreamWalker,
From the perspective of a fellow user, it’s really not fair to call either application crippled. Both have advantages for certain situations.
3D tracking in Invigorator Pro is certainly nice, but ProAnimator 4 can do even better than that, if you’re open to a different way of thinking.
As you’ve probably discovered by now, ProAnimator is great for creating very complex and smooth motion paths for objects and cameras. This is where ProAnimator shines, compared to the powerful Invigorator. Take the process one step farther…
You can apply the object or camera data you’ve created inside of ProAnimator to any other layer or precomp in the After Effects timeline. Simply save the ProAnimator project file and import the data into After Effects 7. AE creates placeholder layers in the timeline and all of the keyframes necessary to have them mimic the motion you’ve created inside ProAnimator, but in After Effects space. Of course, you can switch out the placeholder layers with any other layer or precomp.
Wrap your head around that concept and see what you can do. I can think of a ton of different ways to use this feature.

Hi Rhett,
The overlapping paths are probably part of the problem, assuming the overlapping paths are from the same objects.
I would very closely examine the associated points. Sometimes the control handles are flipped around, causing the spike.
Sometimes the angle is very sharp, causing the spikes — which spikebuster can handle.
If that doesn’t work, there are other ways to get around the issue, but let’s try these first.

Thanks for sending the file.
I’ve emailed back several recommendations for making it work:
1. remove blended surfaces. You only need the basic shapes.
2. Remove some of the complexity that’s not needed. Some of the filled text outlines have the same outlines with strokes behind them. You’ll do better simplifying everything and using material editing and edge editing to make everything 3D
3. Organize the logo parts into layers. It’ll help you with object tracks and controlling the motion of the elements.

Hi airkogen,
I’m betting the conversion messed up the file. Here’s a reminder – if you want to apply different materials (textures) to diffferent parts of the object, you’ll want to have the parts separated in the 3D app, then imported in parts.

I believe Mike is right (gotta love the promoboy screen name). If you are going to buy just one, I’d strongly suggest looking at ProAnimator 4.0. It’s a plug-in. It’s a standalone. It’s amazing motion controls and very fast workflow.
Download the demo and start playing.
