    Hi Robbie,

I’d recommend downloading and installing the current version 4.0.8 from http://www.zaxwerks.com. Go to the support>downloads page.

    Robbie,

Which version of Invigorator are you using?

    Okay, the files really help.

The models are fine. The issue, at least on my machine is the OpenGL renderer. On a flat, reflective surface, there is very visible stairstepping with OpenGL. The render is normal using Invig’s standard renderer. I’m going to investigate further.

    Okay, we’ve eliminated some possibilities.

Feel free to send me an image and ae project file jokerstrom1 (at) mac.com. I don’t need other support files.

That’s probably the fastest way to figure out what’s going on.

  • Bree,

Be sure the rendering setting for the AE timeline is “best” rather than “draft.” That’s probably it.

    Hi Harry,

Okay… here’s a thought. animate the pieces of the logo flying together to their resting position. The motion naturally happens during the transition. Don’t worry about everything rotating around a common center as the pieces move.

Now create a camera track and have the camera rotate around the central point of your animation, with its view focused on the logo. This way, it will seem that all of the objects are rotating around a common center as they fly into place.

    Hi Charlie,

Double click on the object track timeline where there’s nothing and you’ll get a pose, linked by a transition to the first pose.

Move the yellow time marker to the middle of a transition, then Object Animations>Add Pose to put a new pose in the middle of a transition.

    Does this help?

    Hi Harry,

You can spin all the elements on a track during a pose by creating a pose group, choosing spin y and using the rotation controls to tell PA how much rotation you want.

    Does this help?

    Hi Harry,

Please clarify what you are trying to achieve. Are you assembling a logo over time, or are you trying to get a pre-built logo spinning around a common center?

    Hi grelenco,

You shouldn’t have to max out the antialiasing. I could be wrong, but it sounds like the rendering settings may not be correct. What settings are you using?
