I agree, Boris tech support is amazing. For what it’s worth, I used to have this problem almost daily until the 64bit version was released.

You can drop it on titles or images with embedded alpha and Avid FX/RED will see the alpha information when you open the plugin.

I rewrap it in MXF and get WAY better performance in MC. Thumbnails alone appear almost instantly, whereas with just AMA linking it takes awhile to populate the bin. Remember to change your media creation settings to XDCAM 50mbit if you go this route.

From my tests, magic bullet plugs don’t work except for misfire vignette.

Yes, Trapcode Shine works with Red 5. I will look into others.

Search for Red 5 tutorials and you’ll find some. It’s the same program. borisfx.com
