Yes. Tried with Apple Disk Utility and with Disk Warrior. Just tried setting up a new user account too per Larry Jordan’s suggestion; still no go.

It just quits without showing any fcp specific error message. Jsut the generic OSX crash box

Any reason I should not simply down-res the 1080 footage when converting to DVCPRO HD 720p24p and scale it to 960×720? If I do that, I’m not having to render in fcp. Just wondering…
