OK. After toying with it for a bit, I managed to just re-import the file and got it to render that way. I’m still unsure how this would have happened. Would be nice to know so i can avoid it in the future.

Thanks guys. I wound up just importing the still images into AE, running them together (tediously, since I’ve only used the program twice) then exporting it back to FCP. Worked great!

Now, I’m just trying to find a tutorial for my effect. Thanks for the help!

I’ve tried exporting all the individual frames with the animation codec, using millions of colors+, into a single quicktime file, but then when I put it back into FCP, the background is solid black, even when placed on top of a second clip. (?)
