thanks for getting back, you were nearly right. It turns out the graphic was created for print and as such it was made in CMYK mode. As soon as I switched it to RBG everything was fine. Thanks for the help though.

Thanks for the replies I had tried quitting and restarting (was able to do both) but everytime I opened compressor the job would just start back up again in a frozen state. Funny enough just after I posted I found a clear queue button and was able to re-submit and be on my way. Thanks again for the time though.
