Can’t cancel a job in batch monitor
Posted by Jonathan Fraser on July 16, 2007 at 8:54 pmSomething went horribly awry during an export out of compressor (the job progress got stuck) , and I’ve decided to re-submit my batch. The problem is that I can neither pause nor cancel the current stuck job in the batch monitor. I can add as many jobs as I want to the queue, but it’s been “cancelling” for about half an hour. Any help is appreciated, thanks for your time.

July 17, 2007 at 9:41 pmThanks for the replies I had tried quitting and restarting (was able to do both) but everytime I opened compressor the job would just start back up again in a frozen state. Funny enough just after I posted I found a clear queue button and was able to re-submit and be on my way. Thanks again for the time though.

August 8, 2007 at 12:34 pmNone of this worked for me. Even turning off the whole computer did not remove the file from the Batch folder. Here’s a solution I found on the Apple support site…and it works.
1. In Finder select go, go to folder
2. Enter: var/spool/qmaster
3. This will find a folder (oddly named with numeral & text). Trash the folders you see INside this folder (mine were called Shared & Jobs
4. In compressor, select the menu item Compressor/reset Background Processing.John.

It’s actually ” /var/spool/qmaster ” and thank you very much, I had the same problem.
