with the clouds, its harder than just adding effects.
you need to add a mask with the pen tool on a copy of a video you want it on.
then on the timeline click the drop-down and right click the mask. (if nothing shows up make sure you are in the right composition panel and that your mask is closed.)
once you right click the mask click track mask
a panel will show up on the right.
    click the forward triangle
when your mask it tracked both ways, slap some clouds between the masked video and the original video.

the layers should go like this

    piratedsong(2).mp4
    cloud timelapse.mp4
    piratedsong.mp4

    or whatever you call them

then just click them all and pre compose them all.
now drag the “curves” effect onto the pre composition and adjust the colors to your hearts content.

    good luck

use a custom export settings. i would stick to 1920 by 1080 at 30 fps. (youtube has 60 fps support now but its unnecessary because of just photos and text.) when it comes to bitrate 10 to 12 is fine, as its easier for computers to digitally stream it. the bitrate on youtube for 1080p is 12 mbps anyway. you are using adobe media encoder, right? if you dont know how just click file export then add to adobe media encoder queue. from there you can adjust res, fps and bitrate.

    looks like a graphical issue.
it is either with your configuration or your computer.
    if it is your configuration:
make sure that your view mode on the composition is not in wire frame mode.
if you have cameras placed anywhere make sure you aren’t viewing those.
check your settings and if none of those work…
reset after effects settings to default, and see how it goes from there.
if its a problem with your computer:
check your gpu drivers, restart after effects, and restart your computer.
im guessing you dont want to re-install ae, but that could fix it.
good luck, thats all i can do to help.

hmmm. i bet you could find some 2d water spash effects online. if you are really good at 3d i bet you could animate some water. 3d effect- get a greenscreen—film straight at a 2d angle walking. (if you have tred mill without hand bars that would work… )just walk in front of the greenscreen. use the keylight effect in after effects to remove green

use the curves effect, and try searching for the saturation effect. you can choose the brightness using the brightness and contrast effect.
