I would first recommend that you trash your PPro preferences. Then my next question is what codec you’re editing with – mp4 or ProRes? If it’s mp4, that is a Long-GOP codec, that isn’t necessarily frame accurate. Sure it saves disc space, but ProRes is definitely a frame accurate codec. This kind of spooky nonsense – dropping audio, losing the waveforms, and slipping frame – points doesn’t happen with PR.
