I’ve since downloaded the new version 12 and do not have that issue anymore. If you have the same version, try the clicking on the menu item:
“Workspace” > “Primary Workspace” > “Edit”.I hope this helps!

Yes I did.
For me, I went to VIEW > SHOW WINDOW FRAME — (down toward the bottom). That resized my Resolve window to fit my screen properly (and therefore, I was able to see the 4 tabs at the bottom MEDIA, EDIT, COLOR & DELIVER.) Once I could see the tabs, then I could click on the EDIT tab, and my TIMELINE suddenly appeared!
