Ok, thanks guys. You know, would it be so hard for Sony to add information like this to their user manual and release notes? Or even an addendum that described what each setting in the render templates does… or at least describe exactly what the program preference settings actually do… but then we wouldn’t need to spend 3/4 of our free time researching forums right? lol.

Yes, I just upgraded to 12 from 10 and noticed the Sony AVC “Internet” templates were missing as well… I can’t seem to find a way to alter any of the Sony AVC templates to output a 1080p mp4 as before… the templates seem to all be locked as interlaced… any thoughts? Do I need to use the Main Concept templates instead now?

Thanks guys! Cleared things up quite a bit. I believe I will have them ship me the ProRes 422 output files rather than the raw directory structure from the P2 cards – we don’t need their entire footage, so though it will mean a little more time involved for them to convert the select clips we need, it beats having to manage the DVCPro issues. Of course, I still need to deal with the Mac formatted drive issues (been using MacDrive). How are you guys dealing with PC/Mac drive formatting issues?
