Are you sure that is “real”? It looks like a graphics card driver problem from not refreshing the screen. There should be no other circle. Try saving, closing, and reopening the project to see if it persists.

It sounds like opting out is not a very good idea. You would loose your order and license key information. MAGIX is the new Sony. I don’t see any reason for anyone to opt-out but thanks for the info Mike. I did get my email.

Actually, If your client hands you a drive with the files copied off the SD/CF card with no folder structure, ask them if they also removed the tape from their miniDV cassettes? Essentially this is what they are doing. The AVCHD folder structure is the “container” for the video. It is the “cassette”. Tell them to stop that and give you the entire AVCHD (or whatever root folder) on a hard drive. Have them put each AVCHD folder into a nicely named folder so you know what it’s for.

Thanks for clarifying that. I can see where it makes sense to use stereo if you have multiple sources of audio (e.g., boom and lav) …it makes absolutely no sense for a voice over recorded with one mic.

Oh, I see. You are talking about playing back the entire timeline faster or slower. Yea, that doesn’t preserve pitch.

What camera are the AVCHD files from?
I edit AVCHD from my Sony camera without any problems on my Mid 2012 MacBook Pro, 2.3Ghz Intel Core i7, 16GB Memory, GeForce GT 350M, all the time. My source libraries are usually on an external USB 3.0 drive and I never create optimized media or proxies. I just edit the native AVCHD files as smooth as butter.
I always create Camera Archives from my camera cards and import from the archives. Never had any problems.

No clue. That’s the most ridiculous request I’ve ever heard. Vocals are always mono.

Vegas already does this. You can select from several audio stretch algorithms. Just change it to the one you like best. I assume that would be Elastique.

Welcome to Windows 10! lol… Windows 10 “updates” aren’t as smooth as Microsoft would lead you to believe. Many people have had problems. It is best for format and do a clean install.
Also, if you have any CodePacks installed, they are know to cause problems with reading files and rendering. I would uninstall them, or re-install a clean Windows 10 and not the CodePacks.

It seems that there were quite a few forums removed from the Creative COW a few days ago when the new default “white” theme was introduced. I don’t believe that the vendors had anything to do with it. I thought maybe they just removed forums that hadn’t seen any activity in a while but the Apple Logic Pro X and GarageBand forums are also gone and I posted to those not too long ago.
I would suggest you contact the webmaster to find out why a particular forum was removed. Maybe some of them were removed by the manufacturer but some definitely were not and are gone. 🙁
