I would use a PC DVD player like WinDVD to view the VOB files and be absolutely sure that they do not contain these lines. Then I would look at the media you are using to burn. What do you use? Try using high quality Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden. I’ve seen problems with low quality disc causing problems.

No, just a small piece of the render clip where you feel it is “jerky” so we can see what you mean when you say “jerky”. It might only be 15 seconds if that’s all it take so show us what jerky is. I just can’t imagine what is going on.
What video format and template are you using for rendering? It could simply be interlacing because you are viewing interlaced footage on a PC (which is progressive). Try rendering a small section that is jerky as progressive and see if that fixes it. But unless I see it I really can’t tell.

Make the events shorter. Just drag the right side of the event toward the left.

It would be helpful if you could post a section of the clip that shows the problem. That would make it easier to determine what might be causing it.

I would start with the Save Snapshot to File… button right on top of the Vegas Preview window. (it’s the diskette icon but no one knows what a diskette is anymore) 😉
Set the preview to Best (Full) before you take the snapshot because it uses the resolution of the preview. You also might want to set the project to Progressive before you take a bunch of snaps just so that they are not interlaced but if you’re only using the snaps in the video it will be interlaced anyway.

Fantastic! It’s too bad Samsung chose to make it so difficult to work with their camera. This is where standards become really important. Why on earth would they use DivX and not set the fourcc correctly? It should not have been this hard for you.

I built my latest system around Intel because AMD didn’t have a quad-core at the time. Prior to that I had an AMD because they were the first with dual-cores. I also selected an Intel motherboard this time and what I experienced is the greatest stability I have ever had in years.
So for me, the downside of AMD is that you are dependent on some other motherboard manufacturer to “get it right” and they rarely do. I’ve bought the top-of-line GigaByte, I’ve bought the top-of-the-line ASUS, and there was always some instability. The users manuals are written in broken Chinese-English and their customer support is non-existent.
With Intel, I pick up the phone and a human answers and we talk tech and my problem gets solved. I had to do this with my latest motherboard and it was like a breath of fresh-air. There is just no comparison. I build all my own machines so support from the manufacturer is really important to me. Somehow an Intel CPU with an Intel motherboard just works like it should. But in the end, it is personal preference.

The media may still be off-line because you might still need DivX (and you said that you now uninstalled it).

Yes, I would install ALL of the software that came with your camera because it is obviously using proprietary formats that no other software can natively handle.

Yea forget about the drop down. Just physically type the letters DIVX over the letters SEDG.

No. Please re-install it. The whole purpose of this exercise is to see if DivX 6 solves your rendering problem.

Yes but I would get one to work first so that you know you are doing it correctly. Process one file then open Vegas and drop the file on the timeline and see if it plays back correctly.

You can just download the SC-MX10 Codec for MX10 (ver.0.0) from the Samsung web site and install it!
I’m sure this is on a CD in your possession somewhere (perhaps the camera box?)
Hence my original suggestion to contact Samsung about how to edit this format.
Would have been a short thread but we both learned a lot.
