Only a bazillion!!! Seriously… The MPEG4 specification is insanely broad. No program can support all of the possibilities. There are 31 different Parts, 9 different Levels and 2 different Profiles. Newer version of Movie Studio have steadily added more compatibility but even then you will fine MP4 files that cannot be opened for one reason or another.
I would download the trial of Movie Studio 13.0 If the file opens with that perhaps it’s time to retire your 8 year old Movie Studio 9 and upgrade for $49 USD.

Don’t bother. I can tell you that it won’t work. The MainConcept encoder is very, very old only works with a very specific older set of graphics cards circa 2010. For AMD that means nothing newer than the Radeon HD 6000 series. My Radeon HD 5870 works… my Radeon HD 7950 does not. Your Radeon R9 390 doesn’t stand a chance of working. Forget about MainConcept working if you have a newer card.

You can fake it in Motion. If you highlight the character you want to be an exponent, then in the Inspector, go to the Text tab and the Format sub tab and in the Advanced section, change the Scale and Y-Offset to make sub-scripts and super-scripts.

I haven’t tried this, but if I remember correctly, iTunes allows you to sync your iPad Photos with a Folder on your Mac. If you create an empty folder and tell iTunes to sync that folder with your iPad, it should delete all of the photos on your iPad to match the empty folder.

You need to ask your TV manufacturer what formats they accept on USB stick. There really is no standard for TV viewing via USB stick and every TV manufacturer is different.

It should continue to work fine then. I’d be surprised if something didn’t work as Production Assistant 2 added lots of functionality but I don’t remember having to change any of the old functions to be compatible.

The biggest update is more processes that you can chain together in the automation stage and the hands-free media card workflow for same-day event editors. It will sense when a camera card is inserted and open the launch tool, select a template, and then launch Vegas Pro and replace all of the media slugs, process the footage, and render without having to touch anything. It’s pretty cool.
