MXF doesn’t support that audio configuration. Only Quicktime does.
Please check with your broadcaster and ask how they want to proceed.

The LUTS appear on the Master Clip tab and not in the usual place. Not sure if you are familiar with those….many people miss that. If this isn’t the problem, I’m stumped.

Yes. Thats exactly what you should do.

You likely have Master Clip LUTS, which are automatically applied to certain types of source material. They are not easily removed.
This video tells you how to do it, even though its to solve a somewhat different problem also caused by corrupt Master Clip effects.

Use a Blackmagic or AJA device for your video playback. Then you don’t have to deal with this nonsense.

DNXHD MXF doesn’t support stereo tracks like that (two channels in one track) Only the Quicktime container supports that type of stereo track. With DNX HD MXF you get one track for the left channel and one track for right channel. Make sure they are panned properly on playback. If they are both center panned, you will get mono.

Why not select them in the timeline and use the Render and Replace function instead of swapping out with footage?

100GB is actually already very small for 50 hours of video.
50 hours of HD video captured in Apple Pro Res would be over 3TB.
I’d look into getting an inexpensive external drive. The footage is already very compressed. I wouldn’t reduce the quality any further, if at all possible.

Oh yes…that’s another documented quirk. Anything with a source side LUT applied will not trim. Alexa files automatically get one.
If you can remove the source side LUTS, it should work. This is actually tricky to do, but possible
