When you used the straight import, what were all your settings?
Did you assign a field order or did you set it to leave it as is (progressive).

I would do the motion graphics in Adobe After Effects. You can get a fully functional trial.
After Effects is basically Photoshop in motion (plus a whole lot more). Avid is a great editor but it’s not in the same league for motion graphics as Aftet Effects.

The HDDVD presets should generally not be used. There are no players available for this format. It was the competitor to BluRay and it lost. You can burn an HDDVD on regular DVD media, but you will only be able to play it on a Mac.

Actually, as of the current version Locators are now called Markers in Avid too!

I have the Decklink studio Pro and Avid MC 6.01. There are some issues with scrubbing audio. See the tread further down the page for details. Hopefully Blackmagic and Avid will work out the kinks soon.

Put a 3D Warp Effect on an empty layer above your sequence. adjust as needed. It will move everything below it. Depending on the complexity of your sequence, you may have to render.

Is your system gen-locked?
I’m wondering if I feed the Decklink black burst it might make a difference. For me, it seems to be triggered by audio only clips. If I load an audio-only clip in the source monitor, no video is output at all…not even black…I’m wondering if that causes loss of sync.
Desktop Video 9.0, the video is stable…even on an audio-only clip…I just lock up when I try to scrub with caps lock on.

I don’t think you did anything wrong. It’s just flakey. It’ll work fine sometimes, other times not…usually when you are in a hurry :).
That’s why I said to not bother debugging. Something probably didn’t transcode..or Avid thinks it isn’t transcoded, even though it is.
Usually mixing down will do the trick.
