Guys thank you so much for all the advice some of which i followed and some to be honest I didn’t,(from a technical point of view)! i am quiet lucky I also have a pc in work so I am gonna install a firewall port on this (I have done it before)and use this computer to capture the media to my terrabyte drive, i am going to install vegas 11 on both computers (as they are 32 bit) and then i can work from home or work, i had another post yesterday about licences yesterday and the general consensus was that this is OK once I only use one at a time. Is there much difference between vegas 11 and 12 by the way?, I don’t work for a production house and use vegas to make training productions so don’t always need the latest version of vegas, considering I am still on vegas 6 (yes 6, stop laughing) I am sure 11 will be a huge step up for me. thanks again guys appreciate it. guys as always thank you so much for all your help and advice, im gonna go into event pan crop for all clips, from drop down list change to 16:9 and readjust any clips that might need readjusting and then render as standard pal 720 x 576 i have do a few tests and it seems to look good for widescreen, many thanks again. john unless there is an easy way that i can foillow, sometimes the advice on here is brillant but beyond me technically, put i only have version 6 so might be limited

Hi andrey i have no effects in mind, more so just want to learn how to do them, cant update to vegas 11 at the moment as laptop is not up to spec so will check out after effects. thanks for your reply appricate it. john

Hi Steve, currently i am using a IBM thinkpad lenovo T60, windows xp professional service pack 3, intel core duel t2400 / 1.83 ghz, 1g memory, this is my work computer so has other stuff on it too, like lotus notes ets, do you think this would be ok or could i need a new laptop?? thanks for the advice and forward thinking steve.

hi steve, what i am doing at the moment is delibratley off setting it, it looks incorrect in the preview, but is correct in the render, will hav to have a think about upgrading. tks for the help steve much appricate. john in ireland.
