Hey Warren, long time no see.
    I don’t need 4k, most of my stuff is 1920 x 1080.
If I’m doing stuff for the web is MagicLantern really a must ?
I only have 2 128GB 120MB/s 800x CF cards. I have a feeling I’ll need a lot more of these cards for raw.

Experimented with screen capture all day. The quality is just not good enough. I’m gonna keep fighting to get the Mp4 to ProRes conversion work. Any tips welcome.

I think in my case screen capture is the way to go. Great idea. Is Screenflic “industry standard”? I’m looking for the highest quality, and the fastest turnaround – money is no object. Is Screenflic > than Screenflow?

Shane, thx for that, sorry about my brainfart, yes 720p is HD of course. I’ve always trusted Compressor. If compressor is not good enough I doubt streamclip will top it.

Actually forget Mp4 – i have to use ProRes. How do I get rid of these artifacts? A portion of the frame is getting heavily pixalated ( see a screenshot below ) every 40 sec or so. Otherwise looks great. These artifacts are not on the original Mp4

Just realized since my footage is 1280 x 720, and ProRes is for HD footage that’s probably my problem. What’s the solution?

Sorry Pierre, for some reason I don’t understand what you mean by “in our product RE:Fill there is RE:Fill area”. Do you mean your company sells a plugin that could help with this?

Wait Mocha Pro is a different app. I’m still struggling with AE. Not ready for another APP… I made the mask, inverted it. Moved the position of the original eye underneath to show up in the hole. Looks good but:

    – when the eye moves all over the place. Shouldn’t it stay on the forehead since both layers are identical??
    – it’s embarrassing, but can’t get rid of the yellow masking loop around the eye. I’ve made the mask ( closed the loop ), why is it still on the screen?

Everything makes sense, sounds easier than i thought. I get how to cover the eyes now. But rookie question, would you use the Pen tool to cut out the shape? Also I don’t need to track twice, right? Just one eye and then link the phøtoshoped still to the null? Or should it be two stills one for left and one for right and track twice?

The cam is on sticks with a prime lens. The subject does not rotate. There is some movement. I’ll look up Mocha tracking when I wake up. The eye tracking videocopilot vid doesn’t look like what i’m looking for. I need to cover up the eyebrow and the entire eye up with skin so the eye looks like a cheek or a forehead.

  • switched to RGBA instead of RGB and yes it worked! thank you very much.
