    Hi Darby,

    Hope springs eternal, they say…

I’m heading home for lunch soon. The only way I can think of to get them to you is through the mail, but I sure don’t want to pass along any ‘germs’. If you know how I could get them to the file service [ does something like youtube qualify?] let me know.

    Thanks again,
    John

    Thanks again Darby,

Here’s an update. No message other than the ‘try again, reopen, report’ one. After reloading the Compressor from the FCP disk I got it to work yesterday. Then, after using it for a one hour project I sent it to DVDSP. Everything looked and played fine but when I went to burn it I got an error and it wouldn’t go. I’m at work now, so I can’t remember what the error said and will post it later.

Meanwhile, I still can’t get Photoshop to work. I deleted 6.0, 7.01 upgrade, preferences, settings and everything else I could find that had their names on it. Then reinstalled 6.0, 7.0, downloaded the 7.01 upgrade and it won’t work. Can you think of anything else I could try?

    Thanks,
    John

Finally had to trash that project and open a new one, bringing in the elements.

    Hi Russ,

Just did as you suggested, render and prefs. No luck yet.

    Thanks.

Yes, it’s in 6. Internal drive is Maxtor 150, external is Medea 350. Maxtor is just over half full, Medea nowhere close. format is 740x x486

It’s now been rendering for over a half hour and is only at 80% for 4 spots.

Thanks but I’m not signing the checks on that one. Anything else I could try? It’s not a big project; 4, 30’s with some footage, jpg’s, vo and music…
