  • I think so. Regardless, what I did (and what you confirmed) worked perfectly.

Thank you for taking the time to help out.

  • Thank you very much. For some reason, following your directions still leaves a sliver of black on both edges. But pulling the crop tool works proportionally and I can reduce it a few notches to make it clean.

    Thanks!

It’s not the end of the world, but I found it odd that it would all of sudden change the combine overlap from .15 to .14.

Hi. I liked the fact that I could actually discern more of the people/action after you make certain adjustments. Any advice you have as to what I can do with the video to reduce the glare/overbrightness would be great.

Thank you for the advice. I don’t run into this problem very often, but I might invest in such a device.

Can anybody provide with some tips as to what settings I can play with on Sony Vegas that would help reduce the glare in my video? Thanks.

That’s a great effort. Can you give me tips as to what effects/setting changes I should make to the video track to make the picture more watchable? Please be kind – I’m kind of a newbie.

    Thanks.

    Thanks for the reply, Graham.

Here is a screenshot of the video. As you can see, the sun was glaring right into my camcorder. I tried playing with the opacity, but it didn’t help much.

    Mike,

I hit the arrow on the “Center” feature, and now can see the ability to drag the object (and see it dragged around in my preview window). But regardless if I do the yellow circle preset or any other object preset, I do not see the selected object being moved around on my screen. Instead, all I see is a crosshair on the preview screen, exactly like the crosshair that can be moved around in the “Center” window.

I’ve see the yellow circle intermittently when I’ve tried other things, but don’t see it now. I’m sure there is something simple I’m missing.

Is it related to the track “above” that I placed the duplicate screenshot? Is it somehow not on “top” and therefore not showing the object? I simply selected “Insert Video Track”. Does it matter that the track is “purple” – the same color as the video track below it?

Can you or anyone else figure out what I’m doing wrong? Thanks.

    Mike,

Thanks. I think I have 12. For some reason, I thought a different dialog box popped up to allow manipulation of the object (a circle in this case). When I get home, I will try clicking on the arrow next to “Center”.

Regardless, I don’t see the circle in the preview window. Are there any settings above the preview window that need to be toggled to allow viewing of the circle?
