  • Hello Scott and thanks for the input. My set up is NTFS. I also use only Sony Premium MiniDV Tapes for my projects. I just used HDVSplit and had absolutely no issues whatsoever. It also automatically renders them in their native hdv. WAY easier and faster than Vegas, and no splits. Looks like it is just a problem that Vegas must have w/ my Canon camcorder. Thanks to everyone for the input, you saved me hours of frustration!! 🙂

  • Hey, and thanks for the tip, but I’ve already tried unchecking the “enable scene detection in HDV” from the preferences menu to no avail. I even closed the program, rebooted, and still have the same issue. I’ve downloaded HDVsplit and am attempting a capture using that program. I just do not understand why Vegas keeps splitting my captures into so many clips. Thank you for the help!!
