If you want to use the exact same track settings for multiple sequences, you can add your track effects to your first sequence. Then Duplicate the sequence, delete the footage from the duplicate, copy paste the footage from your second sequence into the duplicate, and then your track settings will be exactly the same as your first sequence. That will work in some instances at least.

I deleted the preferences and it didn’t seem to help. I also searched for corrupted files by copying small parts of my sequence into a new sequence with the same settings, but still couldn’t get things to render without memory error.
FCP 7 seems to use more memory in Yosemite then it does in Lion. Is this behavior normal?

The thread you referenced was helpful but I can’t find the hardware overlay setting of WMP anywhere. Where is is?
