    What’s the budget for the mic? Have you asked your video producer about local talent/studios? It will be easier for you to receive a finished audio track.

    Event Mgr X allows you to select both Events and Projects to be opened (or not). If you turned off the Event you don’t want, but kept both projects open you could see if both projects had all media connected. If so, you could probably delete the Event. But, of course, back it up before deleting.

    Event Manager X allows you to select which events are opened by FCPX. A terrifically useful program.

    I read a thread on the BM Forum re the Pocket camera the other day that concerned interplay between the internal and external batteries that caused issues similar to these when the internal battery wasn’t fully charged when using an external.

    All good suggestions above. I don’t know where you’re located, but we’ve rented space at a local office rental facility and even a local hotel. If you gang up enough videos to shoot a full day, the cost isn’t that great. Is there a conference, meeting or training room somewhere in your space that might be used?

    First off, don’t record on that SD card. I’ve not had to recover files, but I kept a note about a recovery program in case I do. If that doesn’t work contact Gillware in Madison, WI. I believe there’s no charge unless they recover the data. Good luck.

    What you need is a passive summing mixer. It’s something you can build if you can wrangle a soldering iron. Here’s a link to an example. You’d only need two build 2 channels. If you Google “simple mono summing mic mixer” you’ll find other examples.
