UPDATE: Thanks for the responses guys but problem solved. After looking at the issue a number of different ways with a coworker of mine we think we have it figured out as well as a solution.
We believe it to be a framerate issue due to some other firmware on the camera.
The problem was solved by loading the video into FCP 7 (sorry Adobe) and using the speed / slip tool to alter the audio slightly. Audio and video line up great and simple solution.
I use FCP 7 at work and am just doing this little project in Premier cs6 as a way to learn some other software. If there is a similar method of solution in Premier someone please feel free to post it!
