Ok, thank you. Sorry for the confusion, still getting the hang of AE.

Yep. It’s just a layer parented to the head, with only the puppet pin effect. No transformations, and no camera effects are used either. Works fine until I turn on ‘continuously rasterize’.

I’ve got a 2d character who is looking up. Her head rotates upward, and I’ve got her hair parented to her head. I would like to be able to jiggle her hair a little bit with the puppet pin tool, but the only way I’m able to is if I keep ‘continuously rasterize “off, even though there isn’t anything else applied to the hair layer.

Thank you, that’s perfect! I’m using their other plugins already, they’re excellent.

I’ve been reversing most of the actresses’ other movements, but with running that isn’t possible. After she’s been chroma keyed, I’m using a lot of filters that turn her into a blurry painting. So I think I’m looking for something that will allows me to distort the last frame into looking like the first for a perfect loop. This usually wouldn’t look natural, but since the figure is basically a cartoon character I don’t think it will be noticeable.

I’ve lined things up so the first and last frames are almost identical, but besides the puppet or mesh tool I don’t know of a way to bend the figure into the perfect position. Hope that makes sense.

Yeah, I’ve got a 2.5 GHz Intel Core i5. Graphics card is a AMD Radeon HD 6750M 512 MB. And yeah, even with proxies FCPX is almost unusable on my machine.

I know it’s hard to say without using the computer yourself, but in your opinion, would it be better to sell my imac and buy/build a new system (I’m going to be doing a lot of compositing for the next couple years, and need a fast machine) or could I just upgrade the internal hd and fix most of my problems?
