This is how you can get around it till it gets fixed.
1. When you’re ready to export, go to preferences and turn off background rendering.
2. Quick FCXP
3. Go into your event AND project that you’re working on and delete the ‘renders’ folders (they’ll recreate themselves when you open again).
4. Empty the trash.
5. Re-open FCPX. Export.That should fix it for now. I think a patch will come soon.

Yes there are probably more with X, you can also make your own that are usable directly in X with Motion, which is a pretty awesome thing.
Check the plugins you have, they probably have an update from 7 that works with X now. Most do.

Not yet, but for a one-time $29, it’s kind of a no-brainer. We also have pixelmator which I like but don’t love. I think for generic image stuff both are pretty solid. It’s a good alternative when you’re on a laptop and just need a quick photo/gfx change without having to authorize, de-authorize Photoshop, etc.

While they’re making stuff, how about an apple script that automatcially authorizes and deauthorizes creative cloud so you can work on a different system. That would also be pretty awesome.

That is changing, Neil. I think by end of summer we’ll have some interesting developments regarding this. Probably the biggest hangup right now is shared systems on a large scale. Good luck with the launch, btw!
