One thing you can try is to open up the console and type “HDTitleFilter”. This toggles the title “anti-alias-downscale” filter to off and your new created titles get crisp. You already have washy titles? Just recreate them. This is also for imported graphics with alpha.

  • You should be able to make a new layer, and add a mask. Then in your shape layer, twirl open the contents, click on “path” to highlight all your keyframes, then open up your mask layer, click on “mask path” and paste the keyframes.

I’m just curious — who among the production crew said, “We can fix that in post”?
That should be the person who fixes it.

  • There are bunch of different builds in that video, I could give you a list of the effects used, but I doubt that would be helpful If you are more specific say “how do you build the stock ticker at 3 seconds” you will get a lot more answers and ideas on how to proceed.

Increase the emitter velocity & number of particles per second, and increase the particle life span. Also I would change the particle transfer mode to add.

Here is a very quick example project I made, didn’t play with the colors.

  • First off, have to say great job on the Skybox Studio V2, composer is great for just jumping into a project and going right away. Very easy to use. Look forward to checking out the new plugins.

Not sure this is the right place, but a suggestion. I found myself having replace some billboards shot in 360 recently and while it’s doable with Skybox composer, I found it easier to use Converter and output to a 4:3 cube map. Using corner pin + the flattened views made everything a little more accurate. While using Composer, I tried stepping into the various precomps to get to the flat 4:3 cube map (combine), but that doesn’t work only shows the active camera.

If it’s possible to add that functionality to Composer great, if not i did figure out the workflow of using Converter, corner/pin, precomp, Convert back to equirectangular.

Either way, another great product, thanks a lot!

  • Looks like Trapcode Form, using images to control the RGB. Check out these tutorials, couple of the ones at the bottom of the page are what you need.

Play around with the smoke wizard preset, turn off the aux particles and you will be 90% there.
