Why not just use the Track XY and Track Z tools to zoom out and move around the comp view?

Sorry for misunderstanding. It’s standard practice to not render or export to H.264 or other long GOP formats from AE or NLE’s like Premiere. Export from Premiere in the same codec, res, frame rate, etc., as your sequence. Then take your file into a media encoder for the delivery version (h.264, mpeg, etc.)

Nope, the issue is 59.94 fps in the Animation codec. There’s no way that’s going to play back smoothly in QT player without some serious processing power, a RAID array, or Mac’s smokin’ new Thunderbolt™ i/o technology.

This isn’t a render setting; it’s a composition setting.

What codec are you rendering to?

If it’s Animation, then it’s natural to expect stuttering on playback. It’s a high data rate codec, and most processors and drives aren’t fast enough to play it back in real time.

What version of AE are you running? If it’s earlier than CS5, you’ll have to convert the footage from H.264 to something that AE can work with.

As soon as you option-click the stopwatch for Time Remapping, you’ll see it appear to the right in the timeline. The word timeRemap will be highlighted in blue. At that point you can paste (command-v) the expression, or type it out.

The great thing about Mocha is that you don’t need tracking points. It tracks planes, not points.
