  • retain render settings and move playhead to next in/out

Hi. How do you retain the last render output settings. ie size compression, codec, file name, etc. everytime i add something to the render queue i have to edit all the same settings again details again.

Would also like to know in the comp window how to move the play head from one in out end of an element to another with a keystroke, rather than manual move and zoom to accurately move in out keys (is there a snap to used key position?)
    sorry about my terminology.
    thanks

    1. Create a custom output module.
    2. Check out the Time Navigation section on this page.

As Joey says, creating Custom Output Modules is a good thing. Additionally, you can select an item in the Render Queue and hit CTRL+SHIFT+D to create a duplicate of the selected item (composition) with identical settings.

To quickly create a Work Area based on the In/Out points of a selected layer, hit CTRL+ALT+B. I don’t recall seeing this on the page Joey linked to.
